Sharing resources for an informed election

November 2022, Fort Bragg City Council Election

This fall, residents of Fort Bragg will have the opportunity to vote for four of the five total City Council seats in Fort Bragg. There is one two year seat, and though there will be two names on the ballot for this seat (Lindy Peters and Alberto Aldaco) Aldaco publicly withdrew from the race in late September. The other three seats are for four year seats.

On this page you will find documents relevant to the election, as well as interviews with eight out of the 10 current candidates for this election. Please note that GRI does not support any individual candidates, that we reached out to all eleven candidates for interviews, and that we have included all of the interviews we recorded, regardless of the candidates current status in the race.

Helpful Documents

There are many interesting issues at play in this election- one of them is the future of the former millsite on the Noyo Headlands. Read through the documents below for vital information about how this plays into the election.

Candidate Interviews

Please note that these interviews are in random order and do not reflect GRI or any other preference. The two year seats are first, with the four year seats following.

Alberto Aldaco

Voters are encouraged to keep in mind that Aldaco has publicly withdrawn from the race. His name will still appear on the ballot however, due to his withdrawal occurring after the deadline for removal from the ballot.
